Bringing the ACGT Pretoria Meeting to Life

Turfloop Choir sang in the The formal launch in October 2004 of the ACGT Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Unit at the University of Pretoria which is indicative of South Africa's ability to keep abreast of global research trends and technologies. Unveiling the plaque for the new building, Prof Calie Pistorius, Principal of the University of Pretoria, added that the occasion represented a significant milestone in endeavours for South African research to be locally relevant and internationally competitive.
